[tape starts here] ...is the Lexmark 7170 Series Printer, Fax, Copier, and Scanner. We love this machine. We have only had this particular one about a month. We had the 6170 series prior to this one, and this is just the upgrade from that model. What makes this item so great is that you can use it for everything. With the touch of a button you can change from copy mode to fax mode to scan mode. It has the paper tray underneath, whereas the model before this had it in the back where it would feed the paper, and we were constantly having problems with paper jams. So that has eliminated that problem there. It is a flatbed scanner so you can lift up the hatch here. You can put down what you want it to copy, face down, just as you would with a regular copier, press the button. Oops, I'm sorry, I had it on the wrong setting. Press the button, and it immediately starts to print. This one is a little louder than our old model, but I can tell you, it's a lot more efficient. We're very pleased with our purchase, and ink cartridges are about the same no matter which Lexmark printer you use.
