Review for Linksys WRT54GS

Reviewed on 07/18/07       Plays: 169

Linksys WRT54GS Wireless-G Broadband Router with SpeedBooster Good, stable router with security features. SpeedBooster technology isn't anything special, and Linksys customer service isn't great.

Hi my name is Mike and here's another technology review. This is the Linksys WRT54G Wireless G-Router and this one has a speed booster. This router can be found for about $50.00 in most technology stores. It supports 802.11g which is the Wireless-G networking standard and as you can see on the back it has a plug for the power. It has four router ports and a wireless port. It has two antennas so you get pretty good signal reception and there's not too much else that's remarkable about this. If you wanna set it up it has a Web-based interface which you connect to it and you set it up like a Web page. The wireless features are pretty good. It gets good range good security options and it's pretty reliable [indiscernible] [00:00:48] and as far as features it has a status light from the front but it's not really too exciting. Overall it's a great router it's cheap which is nice and I like it better than other brands. One thing I don't like is their support is terrible. If you call them up and ask for help you probably won't get somebody who speaks English and if you need a replacement one it will probably take you a few months to get one which is kind of a pain. So besides that it's also a pretty good router. Overall I'm pretty happy with it though so there's not much else to say about it. Fifty bucks a good value so once again this is the Linksys WRT54G Wireless Router. You'll find it at any store for about fifty bucks and yup that's about it. Thank you for watching.
