Right here is the new Office 2007. This is the Home and Student Version which is the least expensive of the packages and it also includes the least amount of software but it does have your standard stuff that you will need which is like Word 2007 PowerPoint Excel 2007 and this new program called OneNote which is a pretty interesting program. I really haven t got too much into it but I did some research on how it works and for the most part it s more or less like a Notepad. It looks kind of like Word when you open it up but the whole thing is you could write pretty much anywhere on the screen. So it is more or less like a Notepad because Word you have to follow the margins and follow the lines and everything but this you can choose anywhere on that pad and write. It does a lot of other stuff like organizational type things and everything like that but like I said I haven t really gotten into the OneNote. Now Word Excel and PowerPoint do look a lot different more or less to interact with the new interfaces of the new Windows Vista so that is going to take some getting used to just how the menus operate and everything and the look and feel because it s a big change from the last release of those software titles. Overall it does have some really good stuff built in the grammar check and the readability statistics and everything like that. So it s worth the investment I would say. I only spent $99 on it I got it from Staples and I think it really retails like $129 but when it came out they just released a mega promotion for it. So you might be able to find that on Staples.com or Newegg.com but if you re looking to upgrade your Office especially for the students or something like that check out one of the academic sites. I ve seen it them for a little bit less. So do that the new Office 2007 right here. I definitely like it. This is the Home & Student Edition. If you need more software titles which I don t really know why you need more but it goes up to a lot. Office Ultimate which is almost like 400 hours I believe has probably about ten different software titles built in but that s really for the business professional. So just for the home use and student use just to have these basic four programs is definitely worth the investment. This is Microsoft Hone & Student Office 2007.
