Okay well, as a 35 mm enthusiast I kind of wanted to steer away from the analog age and into the new digital age. Now I had a smaller camera and I am a big fan of Cannon cameras. So finally I got in the money and picked up the Canon Digital Rebel XC which is much like my Digital Rebel film camera with all the same type of features, everything that you've got your zoom and your screen. This is a 8.2 Megapixel camera, so you can do some pretty, pretty big print. It has a removable SLR style lens. The only thing with this one is, the XT, is that you need to buy the special lenses for the XC where some of the higher end models of the Digital Rebel you can use just normal 35 mm lenses. The lenses do range about $300 plus depending on what type of lens you do want. But this thing has so many different options and so many great things. It takes beautiful pictures, it has a built-in flash and right now I have a gigabyte Compaq flash card in it and it really, really takes some beautiful photos like I said and a great option about this is you can select a couple of different formats. You have a JPEG format and you also have what they call a raw file -- RAW file. And what that is, it's called a raw image and it's -- you can do so many things with this actual programs. You can alter the -- the different contrast ratios and brightness right in the computer there. Just in case you screwed up something on the camera and like I said the photos are absolutely amazing. I picked this up for around 700 -- $700 and I still haven't gone over all the features of it. I know it's just mind blowing. I do recommend to pick one of these up. Just go on eBay or something like and pick up a basic UV or ultraviolet filter just to protect the front of the lens. You know, you don't want to be scratching your lens or anything and like I said if you're ready to go for 35 mm SLR, this Canon Rebel XC is definitely a good move to go to a digital SLR -- SLR.

Want high digital-camera performance in an SLR format? For convenience, ease of use and no-compromise SLR performance, look no further than the EOS Digital Rebel XT. Featuring Canon's Digital Trinity 8.0 Megapixel CMOS sensor, Canon's own DIGIC II Image Processor and compatibility with over 50...
I have a camera just like this but it's not digital. Is it worth it to go digital while still an SLR? Does an LCD screen and other digital features help picture taking easier or is it more steps in the process?
