ExpoTV has thousands of reviews from people just like you!
Hey Expo TV tonight I m gonna be doing a review of my digital camera. It s the Canon PowerShot SD400 Digital Elph and it has 5 megapixels. It s probably relatively cheap at this point. I believe it was around $250 when I first bought it when it first came out. I m sure you can get it significantly cheaper by now and probably get a much fancier camera for that price at this time. I m gonna show you some pictures of this camera and tell you about it because it s actually the camera that I used to make my video so hopefully that will be acceptable and I can give you a little information about it. So here are my pictures. Okay so I m just gonna tell you about the camera and show you the pictures. This is a picture of me holding the camera so you know that it s me that owns the camera and this next picture should show you this is what the front of the camera looks like. It s got the lens there in the front and the flash and this is to show you a little bit about the screen there on the back. This is your LCD screen and one of the things I found while researching this camera is that that screen cracks super easily. You can buy a screen protector. It s like a thick piece of plastic that goes on the top and you just stick it on and this helps it from getting cracked because people who were saying just from having it in their pocket the LCD screen was getting cracked. I think it costs like $10.00 plus shipping from a Web site called CCNow. I m not sure if they still have this but that s where I bought the screen protector when I first bought the camera so that s something nice to have. This is your control area. Up at the top I ll show you with my cursor hopefully well you probably can t see it but up at the top here is where your functions are and that button there is your Play so that you can look back at either a video you ve taken or pictures you ve taken and just to make sure they turn out okay and delete off of your SD card if you d like and that is what this camera uses is an SD card. The middle icon is your video and that allows you to take obviously video with the camera and you can choose here on the dial where it says Function Set you can choose there to pick the quality of video. And then the other icon is just for your regular pictures. And so that s basically what you re gonna be looking at when you re looking at the back of the camera. You ve got your viewfinder your LCD screen your menu button your display button and then your function button. This is just the top here and this button right here to the left is your on And this is the bottom. This is right here is where your SD card and your battery go and then there s a hole there so that you can go ahead and put it on a tripod if you d like. And this is where your battery and your SD card go and you just hit that little red button to pop them out. And here s the front of your camera so that you can see like I said the lens telescopes out and this is where you have an AV input and that s just me again. I really like this camera. It s done really well for us. We use it with our kids. It s tiny so that makes it really nice. You just pop it in your pocket and go and it takes pretty good pictures and the video quality is okay. It s not a video camera and I m sure you can see that from my reviews. I mean it does take video but that s not really what it's meant to do. Anyway I would give this probably a four out of five stars. But I m sure you probably at this point since cameras have advanced so much you probably would wanna go for more megapixels and all the bells and whistles.
