Hi Olay here that's my video review and digital camera pen name. We're gonna loot at the--we're gonna have a quick review of the Fuji Fine Pix 8000FD. Now I've used 7 000 Fuji for years for a lot on it really enjoyed owning it so I was really looking forward to the S8000 with the 18X optical zoom and the optical image imposition. Now I do a lot of shooting while hiking in wildlife and I need to get out there a hundred yards only have a few seconds to do it before the animal usually stops whatever it's doing and they're gone. So I need a good quick responsive automatic video and still pictures with 18X optical zoom which is about 400 millimeters equivalent to a 35 millimeter camera focal lanes. It has good optical image stabilization coz using 18X optical zoom you're gonna have some--you can't hold that camera steady without a tripod so you need a good optical image stabilization. One of the pros of the camera is I really like having Double A batteries. If you're in the middle of meadow and you run out of batteries the next gas and go will be able to help you with that. I'm gonna remove the lens cover here. Now it has a key curve but I haven't put that on the camera yet. I'm gonna go there and turn it on so you could see the optical lens come into play here. One of the original kinds I had with the camera is I had a lot of audio noise but last couple of times I used it the audio noise is missing in the video and I usually shoot it at 640 x 480 image format but the audio noise used to be about five or ten times what I'm seeing now so it's either me or the camera kind of intermittent cameras so you need to check the camera out closely when you purchase one if you're really interested in good audio with the video. Everything comes in the box. You use the camera including all the cables CD manual and batteries but it only has internally about 58 megabytes memory and if you wanna use the camera I'm sure you wanna get more of a gigabyte or more of XD or SD memory storage. Anyway I give the camera about an eight out of ten with my audio problems because of that that I've seen maybe it was all my fault or I'm only give it a six for the typical user just because I have seen some audio noise but I don't really care about the audio when I'm shooting my video. Post edit and put the audio in like I want but if you're really on with the audio with the video you ought to check it out pretty close on the internet. Here we have some still images of the Fuji S8000 so you can get some up close and personal pictures or views of the camera. And following the still image pictures we're gonna have two clips one with 18X optical zoom and image stabilization on and then a clip with 18X optical zoom and image stabilization off. And the sound is remarkable now. I don't know why I had noise on the sound before but looks pretty good. This is just to evaluate the optical image stabilization as well as the audio sound quality. You can see if I move too much holding the camera you get a little bit of jerky motion there but fairly solid and stable. Now we're gonna go--the next set frames will be with optical image--okay same recording with the optical image stabilization off at 18X optical zoom and evaluate the sound and stability of the image that I'm recording in the 640 x 480 format radio.

The Finepix S8000FD Digital Camera appears more as an SLR than a compact camera. It isn't an SLR because, primarily, you can't change lenses. Why would you need to? The Fujinon 18x Optical Zoom provides unprecedented flexibility in a digital-camera. With a 27mm-486mm equivalent, the need for...
