Hi this product is the Nikon D40 camera. It's a digital SLR camera. We bought this camera about two to three months ago at Best Buy and so far it's worked really well. Both of us have experience in photography. We've taken photography classes so we kinda wanted to come by in what we had learned in like the film world to additional format so we didn't really want a point and shoot camera anymore. So this camera definitely gives you more control. You zoom in you know just like with a regular SLR camera. It also has a ton of different manual setting so you set up the aperture shutter yourself as well as automatic settings like a point and shoot camera. One thing that I didn't expect throughout the digital SLR camera was that when you turn in on and you want to take a picture the viewfinder actually doesn't display the picture and it like you don't look like this. It's all done like this which is fine because you know that's one of hte reasons why you bought it. In comparison though I really do like this camera and I think it's great for the money. In comparison to the Canon Digital Rebel I like the setup of the Canon Digital Rebel better the setup of the controls but I think that that could just be a personal preference. But the camera is really good and the Nikon lenses are compatible with it. It has all the basic features of any regular camera like a self timer all the SLR features auto so on and so on and so on and it also comes with software for on the computer. So that is the Nikon D40 Digital SLR Camera.
