Expotv this is roger qtpie and I'm reviewing my favorite new toy and that is Nikon D40 digital SLR camera. This is a pretty high end camera I guess. It was $600 at Best Buy and what's special about this camera is its got a different type of censor that normal digital cameras and it captures more clarity than normal digital cameras. Even though at 6.1 mega pixels the clarity and quality of these images are way better than a normal 6.1 mega pixel point and shoot camera. But I'll show you some of the cool things that this camera can do. When you turn it on the screen comes up with all the information about the picture you're shooting. That is the shutter speed the first number right there and that's the aperture which is also called the S-stop. And here's a visual representation of it. I'll show you when I--when I turn this knob the shutter speed goes down and when I turn the knob while changing the aperture the little whole gets smaller visualizing that the aperture is also getting smaller. But another cool thing about this camera is that it can shoot in raw which is an uncompressed photo format. When you shoot photos in JPEG it's compressed and processed instead of being how you actually shot it and unchanged. Another cool thing about raw is that when you open raw files in Photoshop you can change a lot of things like contrast and color bouncing and all that without making the photo look weird. But it's really cool. I'll take a little photo for you guys. Looks good. I recommend it the Nikon D40.
