Hi my name is Shaun and this is the Nikon D80 DSLR body. I want a number of things to note here on the D80. First off is this commando up front which is generally used to control your aperture settings. Up here is a multi-function body which you can program to do various things such as display your ISL and the viewfinder. I have it programmed to match with your focus settings so you can choose between auto focus or selective auto-focus which puts you [indiscernible] particular portion of your frame to focus on which is useful when you want to track individuals instead of whole scenes. Down here is your depth field preview button which is handy if you want to stop down your diaphragm to see what the light and depth field will be at your particular settings. Over here is an easy AF-manual switch if you re not using the USM lens so you can quickly switch between the two. Right there is the lens lock so you can put it and take out lenses on the fly. Up here we even have a AF assist beam which is useful in helping other focus and low-light situations which isn t so useful actually if you re using a larger lens anything that isn t basically a kit lens because that will interfere with the light. Up here is your on Choose these settings I am looking right here at this 4-way [indiscernible] out around there and it s also used for a number of other settings throughout the menu. Go right back right here it s a very intuitive [indiscernible] the Nikon has provided us with and what s particularly really useful is this handy question mark which will tell us what s going on if we re confused a little bit which is often the case with these [indiscernible] cameras. Exposure delay mode I don t know what that means. Oh I think [indiscernible] click this and it will give a nice [indiscernible] right there. Other than that there s a lock to lock in but 4-way [indiscernible] if I was in a shooting mode. To quickly switch off between shooting modes instead of looking at my photos and I wanted to take a quick snap I can just halfway click here on the shutter. As you can see it turns off the display instantly. Alright so if you re getting in digital SLR photography I wouldn t recommend going straight up to the D80. I would recommend going to the D40 or D50 or D60 first just because it s a simpler camera to use. If you re slightly more familiar you might want to jump in to the D80 it is a replacement for the D70. If you consider yourself a pro-amateur you can probably [indiscernible] straight to the D300. If you re paparazzi type D3 is for you. So there you have it. The D80 Body.
