A great cell phone that has some problems that worry the heck out of me.

Hi, my name is Richard and this is the Samsung D807 for the Cingular service. Now, I recently got this phone and I've been playing around for about two weeks or so and I absolutely love this phone. There are a lot of features for this phone, but there are a lot of problems too and let me show you what. Well, first for the good features. You have a big 2.5 inch LCD screen that is bright and colorful, so things are really easy to see. You have a 1.3 megapixel camera and VGA camera, so you can record videos and take pictures. You have a micro card SD slot, so you can store up to 1-gigabyte micro SD cards that can store up to 500 songs and a lot of pictures. Even videos are in .3gp format. There is voice dialing, so if you tell someone -- if you tell it to call Diana or something, it's -- it will call. It will find out like top three names that sound just like Diana and it will call for you. There is Bluetooth for wireless headsets and wireless transfers if -- to a computer if you have a Bluetooth adapter installed. And it has many of the typical functions that many phones have such as Alarm and Calendar. It is very slim. It's a slider phone, very nice. Now, on to the problems. First, off to the camera. The camera, it does take pictures, but it has a slight delay, about one to two second delay, before it actually takes the pictures. So if you really want to take a quick picture, you might not get it with this phone or it might look blurry. That's what sucks about it. But, if you're staying still, it does take pretty good pictures. And you can always send it to a Bluetooth printer and then print them up and it's not bad quality I say. Now another bad thing is with the LCD. It is very bright and colorful. So it uses a lot of power. So if -- but when you charge this, the phone, it actually leaves the LCD screen on. Most phones today, when you charge it, it turns bright for five seconds, it turns dim and then turns off. For this phone, it actually never turns off and I do not understand why. I've checked many firmware updates to see if there are any firmware updates and there are none that can fix this problem. I definitely recommend a screen protector because this screen can scratch easily. And the speakerphone quality is not that great. I mean if you are in a quite room, yes you can hear, but in a restaurant or something, I can barely hear it all. Yes I can hear really well with the Cingular service when it's next to my ear, but when I'm running the speakerphone and I don't want to put it next to my ear all the time, it's not that great. But overall it's a very cool phone. It has a lot of features as I just said. The battery life is pretty good. It has about two days of battery life with talking too included. I don't know what total just by standby, so I wish I knew. But I need to use the phone everyday. But a very good phone. It's for Cingular service and this is the Samsung D807 and my name is Richard.
