This is the iPod 30 Gigabyte video iPod and I believe it's new this year and it's just wonderful. I have the protective skin on it and I'll tell you why. Even though it's very well made it's easily scratched especially the back. The back has this chrome on it and if you lay down on anything invisible pieces of dirt and such like will scratch the back of your iPod. The front has a bluish cover which is overlaid over white and that was what appear to be as susceptible to scratching but I am concerned about being scratched or broken especially in a house filled of kids so I keep this protective skin on it. If this iPod is different from previous generations it allows you to not only do the music but it allows you to do photos it allows you to do a slide shows with your photos and allows you to arrange in many different ways. I'm sure if you can really see because of the reflection but it is showing pictures on it. You can see the pictures slide. There's a variety of different ways in which you can make the pictures transition from one to another and I have several hundred pictures on this thing and I barely scratch the surface of the memory. It also does videos and the menus are very easy to operate although I find it to be a little tricky working that little click wheel because it's so sensitive. But it does movies. I have a bunch of little movies of my kids own here but I haven't tried full length but I know that it will do quite well at that. I don't know if I sort of hold it like this you can see that there's a video. The picture quality is excellent. All in all this is a toy but it's a really cool toy and well it might be very expensive. Certainly it's not something I will buy for myself but that's a gift iPod it was great so I highly recommend the iPod 30 Gigabyte video iPod. Go pick one up or ask your loved one to pick it for you.
