Apple 16 GB iPod Touch. The product we've all be waiting for! Does it live up to the hype? In my opinion, I does. With an amazingly gorgeous widescreen, a whole new interface (touchscreen, simlar to the iPhone), wireless internet (browsing the net on Safari and watching YouTube videos), etc.

Hey guys what s up? Right now I am going to review my newest product of my latest toys. Here it is right here it is the 16-gigabyte iPod Touch. Now I am sure many of us have been waiting for this. Officially the iPod Touch does not get released until September 28 but luckily I have managed to get my hands on one before ahead of time. Anyway so let us go ahead and open it up now. The box is really cool it is a nice contact Apple style box and the first thing you get in the box is the actual iPod part itself. I am going to take it out and let us seen what is in the rest of the box. What is next is this small little case. I believe in here contains the instruction manual and all that stuff. Let me see. Yes in the box you have like your warranty the instruction manual and a polishing cloth but I am not going to get into that subject right now and the next thing you get the last thing in the box is your little bag that comes with the iPod dock adaptor the iPod Touch stand I will get into this later when it is actually up and running. It comes with the Apple earphones and it comes with a USB connection cable. Right now the actual iPod Touch itself it is a very very nice design a major improvement from Apple s last product. Basically you have the wide screen right here you have one Home button which is really a nice simple display. On the side as you can see it is very slick very slim and right now I am going to go ahead and turn on the iPod Touch. When you turn it on it is going to display a picture of the world kind of cool I guess and over here the message it is going to say: Slide to unlock and I am going to simply put up my finger on the slide drag it across and it is going to unlock. Right now before I can do the features myself I barely opened this iPod about a couple of minutes ago so I do not have any music or videos on it yet. So I am going to go ahead and sync it to my iTunes on my computer. I am just going to simply plug it in to the USB cable and right now as you can see this is my iTunes right here and it is go- yeah there it is it has found the iPod Touch right here and it is going to sync all my photos and all my pictures and videos and all the good stuff. Now myself I have about 2 000 music files a couple you know lots of stuff so it is going to take me a while to get everything up and running so I will get back to that. So here we are about an hour later after I have synced all my music and videos and photos and essentially here is the iPod Touch itself. To turn it on all you have to do is just push the On button up here you push it on and it comes on. It gives you the time the date and the wallpaper. Later on you can change the wallpaper but right now I am just going to amp up the iPod. Here is the iPod I am going to slide it across like last time and it is the same screen again but this time I have all my music all my videos and everything else. We are going to start with music in this case. I am going to click the bottom left icon over here and it is going to give me all my artists actually let me just scroll to the artists section. This it gives you a big list of your artists all the artists you have. All you have to do is just simply flick your finger like this and it will take you to the artists list you know if you keep going and yeah. Now what is really cool about this is that it is like the selling point you can do a cover flow. You turn it sideways and it is basically going to show you the cover art. So let us say I want to find like a specific cover art I can just flick it left and right and it will take me there. Really cool really easy to use really convenient. Now the next feature is videos. Now with this gorgeous screen it provides a very very amazing photo party. This video it is by Ben called Velvet Revolver one of my favorites and the song is called The Riddle Thing. I am going to flick it sideways and let the video load. There is the video right there basically. The video itself well I do not know if you can see the full quality from my camera but the way I am looking at it in real life the video quality is perfect it is flawless all the colors come up perfect. The widescreen really makes it look awesome also because I like the widescreen better than the regular other iPod video had it. Let us go back again and we will do the photo section. Now the photo section is where I was a little bit disappointed. If you guys are using Windows XP or Mac you should have no problems at all but me I am using Windows Vista and on the Vista it is not really fully compatible with iTunes because Apple did not really put all the effort into it I guess. So a lot of my photos did not come up perfectly. In this case only one came out actually. I had a test photo with ten photos and only one came out. It is just this model that me and my friends made when we were bored but yeah let us just say I like this photo a lot. I am going to click down here and I am going to set it as a wallpaper. I am going to flick oh sorry yes set wallpaper and it is going to say Saving and there it is. Now on a photo it is really cool how you can drag it left and right the way you like it. You can also do a pinch a pinch is basically you put one finger on one side and you can drag it in and out to zoom in zoom out or whatever. Now I am going to turn off my iPod and I am going to turn it back on. As you can see the photo I have just showed you replaced the earth one from the iPod Touch s original default which is pretty cool I guess having like wallpaper. I am going to unlock it go back to the home screen and the last feature on the iPod Touch is the iTunes store. The iTunes store is actually really cool. Normally when you buy a song from iTunes you have to buy it on your PC then send it to your iPod but in this case if you have an iTunes store account and a wireless connection you are allowed to buy the songs wirelessly. You can search it by top songs or most popular hits or you can search it yourself. In this case this month is August and apparently the number one song is by Kanye West with a song called Stronger. I can click it once and it is going to stream to me the music right now thirty seconds dream preview and in addition if I want to purchase the song I can click Buy Now and I can buy the song which is really cool of course. Now basically that is the iPod Touch itself. There are a few extra features: right here you have the clock you have calendar you have settings and all the other good stuff. What is really cool is that if you have a wireless connection like a wireless G or something and it is open you can go on Safari or you can go on YouTube. In this case I am going to go on YouTube I am going to do a small click and I am going to go to the top most popular videos and right here it is Jerry C playing the guitar the song called Canon in C on his guitar. Really cool so the YouTube video is going to load I am going to twist it sideways and this is for the purpose of saving time I am going to fast forward to video a little bit and there you have it. The video streams up flawlessly there is almost no lag it loads up really fast and the coloring is perfect. There is almost no jaggies at all everything is really awesome about it and especially the widescreen helps it. It enhances the color well not really the color but it just enhances the aspect ratio I guess. Colors are good resolution is awesome and we are going to go back to the home screen. Now basically there you have it. There is the iPod Touch 16 gigabyte review. If I had to give this a rating I would probably give it a 4.5 stars out of ten. The reason it is missing the last .5 stars is that Apple did not really take its full effort to make it compatible with Vista which I find kind of disappointing. If you guys are on a Mac or an XP you have no problems at all but if you are on a Vista there might be a few bugs and glitches. In my case I could not sync all my photos. The other reason is that it is kind of a hefty price. The price for a 16-gig iPod is about $400.00 and 8 gigs is $300.00. Now if you think about it it is actually kind of expensive but in my opinion it is really worth it for the nice interface slim design wireless easy cover flow and all that stuff. Yeah there is my review of the iPod Touch 16 gigabytes. I hope you guys enjoyed it and thank you for watching.

With the Apple iPod touch, Apple has married the iPhone's revolutionary multi-touch interface to their popular digital media player. So instead of a Click Wheel, you just use your fingers to flick through your music, photos, and video. Two fingers can be used in a pinching or spreading motion as...
