Hi the next product I like to review for you today is the Canon GL2 mini DV tape recorder video cassette recorder. I was looking for a camera that I can use for a video on weddings sporting events dramas at churches whatever maybe ____ a little business on side and I do a lot of research in this Canon GL2 got a really good reviews so I went with that and I must say I'm very happy with this camera. When I first got this camera I know that it's a little bit longer than the standard consumer type of mini DV cameras so if size is an issue for you. This is a little bit bigger it's not nearly the biggest than the professional ones that are out there and I must say actually I'm pretty happy with it. It has a flip out screen very easy to get to we'll turn this thing on the camera up here turn those switch to stand by it will kick on and now we have a lens cap on the front protects the lens pretty nicely ____ so we can actually hang in stay out of the ways so it doesn't actually end up in the picture. I do like the lens hood that it comes with it keeps a lot of glare from sunlight form glaring on it and performing making it do the star burrs effects if you've done that video outside the sun you know what I am talking about. The battery pack is very easy to get to there is an eye piece here you can get larger batteries for which I did purchase and I've been very happy with that. And actually has very good microphone on it it's a stereo microphone I like the way the handle is built in it has controls into it. So if you want to carry the camera this while you are recording you can actually zoom make it wide angle you start and stop the recording as well as take pictures with it. It does have a memory card so if you wanna take pictures you can do that takes an SD card which is pretty standard now and it comes with just a 16 meg card which isn't very much but they got pretty big card I think I bought a 2 gig and it holds quite a few picture. I like this thing for the manual controls on it you can go manual ___ any setting that you want it's got very easy to use menus push buttons back here and you can tag around and I like the menu and you can also digit the controls over here you can do it white balance you can set that up. You can do custom key presets you can exposure it will do all the exposure or you can lock it in exposure or subtract some few settings on exposure or add to it. you can do manual focus which I really like the manual focus ring that's really nice. It doesn't have a manual zoom ring that's probably one thing if I could put my wish list out there for this camera and I'd ___ on to it this is probably one of the things I would add to it I really like the manual controls up here with the rings. It does have the zoom on the top handle as well as where you hold the handle on the side here _____ switch for wide and zoom. So you can't get to them pretty easily but still I guess I prefer to have a camera that has a manual zoom ring on it for the manual situations so I like that. It does have a place for track ___ on the bottom it's a standard co range deck and its pretty good camera. I've had it actually I like it well enough that I won't back and buy second one and I've had him for about 2 to 3 months now and I've been very happy with the quality of video it's great on low light situations and I'm pretty excited about the camera. On the back here you can get all jacks you can to it's got a link plugs so that you can actually control that with a remote control as far as the recording and the zooming and what have you. It's got a USB connector it's got a fire wire connector it's got an audio-video in or out as well as SVHS in or out. The great thing about the in or out is it you can actually take and use this camera as a converter. To convert old VHS tapes or any old tape or whatever analog tapes you may have if you got 8 mm if you can this signal through the input of this and you can on the menu settings you can change this to input for the jacks and then the signals will go into the analog inputs and come out wire fire or USB 2.0 whichever you prefer into your computer so you can use this on the converter to convert all of your old footage which I think is pretty pretty good deal. I've got a lot of stuff I've been converting over because I wanna it save digitally on DVDs or what have you ____ they're gonna last lot longer than tapes so I'm very happy with the camera. There are a lot of accessories available for you it and I haven't bought too many yet but I like the availability that is out there and I can expand it in the future and I m very very happy with it. So I recommend this camera out of 5 stars I would give it a 5 star. I'm very very happy with this camera so like I said I like it well enough and I bought a second and I'm using that on a little business on the side so I highly recommend this camera.
