HI everyone this is my review of something that my husband and I got to take on Disney World on October it's the JVC EverioGZ-MG330 camcorder. It has a 30 gig built in hard drive and it's very compact as you can see it's very small. It's easy to handle it's basically palm size fit in the palm of your hand. It does get larger depending on which battery you have in we also got another battery because they said the one that comes with this does not last very long and that will make it a little bit longer but it's still very compact it's very easy to hold. It comes in blue red and black. We have to get the blue because my husband loves blue it's his favorite color so he pick this one out. We look at several camcorders before we decided on this JVC several of them that were about this size and that use the SD memory card for additional memory. This one actually uses the micro SD card they fit in here in the bottom. But we choose this one because for the price it was the only one that had a built hard drive. All the others you have ot buy a memory card to go with it. And this one was the same price as the others but it had a built in memory so that's why we choose this one JVC is a good brand we found that it's very easy to use as you can see this screen pops out and you can flip it over so you can see what your're videoing. And the cool thing that we like about this camcorder is this little scroll bar here. Instead of having buttons you can actually scroll on the bar and then you can select things that way and then you choose by pushing one of this buttons down here you don't actully have to push the button you just come and touch it with your finger. It does as you can see it'shows the amount of recording time left. It also shows you the amount of battery that you have left so that's nice when you are trying to record so you don't run out of tape in the middle of something. Now like I said this one has a 30 gig built in hard drive that is enough for 7 hours of recording time on high settings. So if you are looking for a camcorder to record school programs things like that this one you wouldn't really even need any additional memory. Now we've considered getting some additional memory because we are talking it on vacation and we don't wanna run out in the middle of the day. This camcorder also does snap shots; it has a snap shot mode. However the pictures are less than 1 mega pixel so they're not very good pictures. Basically if you want to take a picture you are lot better off carrying a compact digital camera because it will take much better shots much better pictures than what you get on this. However if you don't have your camera with you or you just wanna carry one thing this does do the snap shots. So you can't take them that way. And it comes with very easy to use software that you can edit your movies it has noise removable you can fix the lighting it's just very easy to use. The only thing that I do not like about the software is that I haven't been able to find a way to compress the video. There's no way to compress it so you have to then import it to another program to compress it but that's easy enough to do. I'm pretty much a beginner and I still figure out how to do it so I think most people could. If you are looking for a great camcorder at a reasonable price this JVC is a great choice.
