(Audio starts at 00:10:00) Hi I'm ____ that's my video review pen name and we're gonna have an introduction to the HD3 JVC high definition camcorder and one of the first things you may ask yourself if you're thinking of purchasing a HD3 is can I see the LCD screen in the outdoors environment? Well we're inside right now but we're gonna go and get the camera out ___ and then we will go outside and take a look at the screen so you all can see it in bright sun. Anyway with my film I power up the camera open the LCD monitor and it will come up it's up and we're ready to go. Now there is mechanical shutter for the lens right and you can actually leave that and leave it of off or actually leave it whenever you want. Just look at the LCD screen looks like and of course try to move it outside and look at it in a bright sunlight. Anyway that's a quick intro to the camera and parts to and through we'll have some hands on any ways let's get outside and see how that LCD monitor screen works. Well we're shooting in the bright sunlight; it's bright behind the shooters head or very close to it. You can see the image we're trying to look at with the HD3 and I'm gonna give you a whole range of conditions like real world as we zoom in you can see shadows reflections and what have you. Well that concludes the hands on portion of part 1 the remainder of part 1 is some slide ___ for you to get to know the camera better and for me to share my opinions of the camera. Well let's get started on the review of the JVC JCHD3 camcorder. No matter how you look at it or display it it's a jewel. What we have coming up in part 1 is look and feel of the camera. Its light ___ capability must have's I look for in a camera some key features and some special notes on the camera and a final summary. The look and feel of the camera is outstanding I just love the visual look of the camera I love the feeling handling of HD3 Everio and a 1.5 pound with battery it's small enough to fit into a rugged Pelican 1150 size case. Here we are with the first the view of the HD3 and here it is package in a Pelican case again it is a case 1150 and it's an option and there's nothing more racy than the look of my HD3 with it's 2X telescope. There's no video tape ___ with this camera you can download to a PC Everio share station or Mac or the SD memory on board. I like to download via a USB too to a Sony movie studio platinum edition movie maker application. You can drop in drag and drop and play it's that easy. Covering the most haves I need in a camera I got to have a good automatic exposure and focus H3 does I need manual controls I need a good responsive automatic focus for contrast and scenes and H3 typically is able to meet the bill there. I like to drag and drop and play my video files on the PC but with the HD3 you gonna have to do some file conversion. It does have the image stabilization and I love the good automatic color with no artifacts. One of my requirements is a 400 mm ___ vocal length compared with 35 mm camera and the HD3 is able to meet that bill. Here's some key perimeters for the HD3 be sure to check with your vendor at JVC to make sure the requirements of the camera meet your specifications. Note the format for the video is 1440 by 1080 eye that's 4 by 3 ratios. I like the 4 by 3 myself better but if you want the 16 by 9 you're gonna which is the 1920 by 1080 format you're gonna have to get another camera. However the still image capability is to the 1920 by 1080 eye. Of note the 10X optical zoom is a 420 mm 35 mm equivalent camera ___. No viewfinder with HD3 batteries included recharges in the camera and I love the white balance and I love my 2X telephoto converter on the camera very little distortion with that 2X telephoto. In summary robust friendly controls it's a solid product good color video complete manual is included in English HD3 does not have a viewfinder but it is visible in daylight condition bright daylight conditions. So high resolution light weight camera and has adequate memory storage for the typical user. I give the camera an 8 out 10. Well that completes part 1 parts 2 and 3 to follow hope you enjoyed part 1. I enjoyed doing it we'll close this part 1 session with still image picture from the HD3 showing you some of the color balance and we'll be seeing you real soon.
