This isn't just a little you know little camcorder for vacations those sorts of things. This is actual semi pro camcorder used by new stations used by in the film productions. Also this sort of things. Now this does cost a few thousand dollars. From my opinion this is very much worth it because it is pretty much the best standard definition camcorder you are gonna get. First copy films in 24 frames per second progress able which for those in for film fill this is what you want. It also records 16 x 9 contents so wide screen stuff and it has excel or connections which are hugely important because that means you can put actual good manics in here instead of having they rely on audio off the camera itself which is often bad. Now there is tons of things you can do. First of you got a very nice zoom lens here which does about only ten times off to go zoom which is little disappointing but not a big problem. Now you can adjust things like for example I will focus there regular focus. You can adjust things like white balance with the white balance button available up in the front actually. So that means if you are shooting in weird lighting conditions you just pick something that is white you point at you press the button and then it will white balance for you. Very very useful. You got tons of settings you can do here like you can choose what kind of ND filter which filters in how much light is there in your camera. You can adjust white balancing in the gain in and gain you just wanna see dark for example. The battery goes back here. Has a large space for it and you can just scene. The scene files are custom settings you make for the camera. And it's got six axial. Use six only use about three. So same shooting in three very different lighting conditions where you do is you would adjust the lighting conditions individually and then whenever you run into them you just click to see excuse me you just click to scene file. This saves you so much time instead of having to adjust every single time you change the scene or you do is you adjust it once and you just click the button. There you go. Now the battery life on this usually is with the default battery half and hour or an hour. But the extend extended life batteries you can four to six hours. Just a very good but batteries are expensive. Now one more thing you can pop the LCD here like I just did. Very large LCD and very bright. It looks nice and there is even more settings in here. You can change what does the audio inputs. Whether the this builds in microphone or the external microphones. You can change the (inaudible) (0:02:49.1) the option image thing the shatters speed. You can do pretty much anything you can think of with this camera. So if you are an independent filmmaker or again you have to do some (inaudible) (0:02:59.0) news some local news this camera is so good. Very reliable. It feels great. Great way to it and it is not hugely enormous like old excel 1 camera such those things. So I'm gonna give the Panasonic DVX100 a five out of five.
