Pros: Gorgeous, crisp picture, TV frame is very compact and sleak, Many inputs
Cons: Inputs are hard to get to, TV broke in a week (refurbished), Better speakers
I am very impressed with this TV. It produces great images, especially with HD. It's got many useful inputs, though they can be heard to get to because the TV is so darn thin. But the thinness creates a beautiful setup. I have not experienced any banding issues that others have seen. CAUTION: After a week of operation the power board died, and the TV stopped working. Sharp Warranty service was quick to respond, and sent a capable repairman who fixed the TV in home. Very convenient, but annoying that the TV failed so quickly. The TV was a refurbished model, and was not well reconditioned.

The Sharp Aquos LC46D64U LCD 1080P television. This is a beautiful television. You get a great picture out of it. It's 46 inches and it's their 2007 line of TVs which is still available in stores. It got -- It's just a beautiful TV both with the picture and the _____. So it's only an inch thick frame around it and as well the back is only 3.75 inches thick. So you can get it very plush with wall. One of the problems with this television is that it is very hard to get cables from the back coz there's only so much room your hand can pick behind it. So I actually had to take it down put the cables on and put it back up which can be a hassle but once you get it done it's done. A lot of people complain about banding with the Sharp Aquos television and there have been mixed reports as to whether this has been dealt with in this series of television. And as you can see here it is not the best reproduction with the camera but I don't see any band in here. It's just a beautiful television. It s got three HDMIs. Its got two components. It's got a composite and S video. It s got a digital audio out which I put up for surround sound speaker system. Here's the remote control of the television. It's kind of an awkward size remote control and it also has some extra buttons underneath here that you can get at. It kind of -- it's probably one of the weaker parts of the remote. Also the channel buttons are at weird angles and like this is really not in a good spot if you want to do a navigation like that. So it's not great remote control but it serves its purpose pretty well. The operation this is high definition ABC news right. The channel up sort of gives you a signal. It sort of shows you channel down so the channels change pretty quickly especially this is over the air. Those are what the channel indicator looks like for the different channels that you can get. So that's also interesting option. it also tells you whether it's digital or analogue and tells you what kind of audio it's getting which is very nice. I'll start off with the picture menu. It give you multiple options here and this OPC option it actually changes the brightness depending on what brightness it detects outside so that's a very useful feature. It also has advance functions too so they're very multiple different types of settings you can control here. Just return there and go back to the top. It has audio settings too. It has a power control so it will turn off if it's not receiving a signal. Set up to set up TV channels and check digital antenna strength. You can skip inputs that you don't want to use. It also automatically detects inputs that are not being used. Parental control if you're into that. Go to options. it has Aquos length which receiving -- sending and receiving signals over HDMI just as if you are controlling a remote control so if you have a blue ray player it can control the TV can control the blue ray player through the same remote. Noise reduction all these sorts -- all these other sorts of options that I don't actually use but they can be useful depending on who you are. Also audio what's type of audio you send out and then just the ability to update software. This is a beautiful TV and I highly recommend it. That's the LC46D64U. I just wanted to update you on this TV since I actually did the review. Since then the TV -- within a week the TV broke. The power supply stopped working and it just wouldn't turn on correctly. So I will give Sharp a warranty services credit. They came _____ they had a service man come out within a day and he came right into the house and replaced the board without even taking the TV. So that was very convenient. And I'm impressed with that but just the fact that it broke so quickly and the service man told me that screws were missing from the TV and there are parts some of the screw taps threading were broken so it just wasn't that very well reconditioned TV. Now it's working again so I'm glad with that but I would've expected a little more from Sharp. So just that one word of caution. I'm sure it won't affect everyone but it's something to keep in mind.
