Hi I m Dylan. This is a video review of the Sony Bravia KDL-32S3000 television here on my left. So let s break that down a little bit. First of all this is an LCD set. People are trying to decide between plasma and LCDs; this particular set is LCD. Second thing 32 inch people trying to decide what size television to get for their house and sometimes it s hard when you re in the store to figure out dimensionally how they ll fit. This is a 32 set in a relatively small master bedroom. If you want to contrast both of those options I ll also do a review of 42 plasma Panasonic set which you ll find in my profile Bill H. The difference between 32 inch and 42 inch I ll tell you is pretty dramatic. This set although it looks probably big standing beside me is a nice size for this size room. The 42 inch is dramatically bigger. Now there is a size between that a 37 inch which is growing in popularity. We went relatively intimate for the bedroom and larger for the left room where the 42 set sits. The other difference here and most people recommend actually on a smaller set definitely go with the LCD. The disadvantage to LCD a lot of people still think that you get better blacks better contrast with the plasma. It doesn t matter as much on a smaller set obviously. One of the big advantages of LCD is it s a lot lighter. So this set is sort of 30 pounds whereas the plasma set that I reviewed is 60 pounds so a big difference. This one is quite easy for one person to move around. One of the other features that you should always look at with a set is how well does it do and how many inputs does it have. This one has a nice mix of inputs: two sort of standard definition ready inputs two high-definition inputs those are the one you get the multiple colors for the video input and then finally two HJDMI inputs which are the hottest and newest cable themselves were $19.75 believe it or not to hook up for high-definition cabling. The other thing that this has is an RGB input which means you can actually plug a computer into it and use the cycle projector. You don t get that as much on the plasma sets but the LCDs come more from the hyper-computer heritage and so they more often will have an input as this one here does. Now this is 720P set. There are two standards right now for high definition 720 and 1024 net. Say if a hundred lines are being shown on the TV at any one time most of the 32 sets are 720 when you get to the higher the bigger sets you can go 1024. Don t confuse that with the input 1080i is the standard high-def input resolution doesn t have anything to do with your TV will be able to play back that input standard whether 720 or 1024. This is a standard definition input right now but my cable operator didn t have high-definition boxes so we re watching actually standard definition playback. Actually I find this to be a beautiful picture really surprise. This is a movie channel. It s obviously everything s being transmitted in digital and it looks just great even though it s not high def. To show you a high-def input here s my Xbox 360 and you can actually see probably too small but this is coming through in 480P so even on a high definition output from my Xbox 360 it doesn t take advantage of the full 720. You can see that was an absolutely beautiful picture and really shows off the capabilities of this television set. The last I ll note is the price point. So LCDs are pretty heavy in demand right now and this set was actually getting best price I can get only $30 cheaper than the 42 plasma set that I got. So right now these are the ones that are on the rise. Overall though this is an amazing set. Really really happy with it and definitely encourage you to check it out. Again it s the Sony Bravia KDL-32S3000. Thanks so much.
